May 27, 2004 -- WASHINGTON — When it comes to that great tradition of summer — the backyard barbecue — voters would rather fire up the grill with President Bush than John Kerry, a new poll showed yesterday. Bush is the guest of choice over Kerry for flipping burgers, 50 percent to 39 percent, according to the national poll of the candidates' "regular guy" qualities by Quinnipiac University. Eleven percent were undecided.
More voters also would trust Bush, 46 percent to 41 percent, to run the family business
